not everyone is lucky enough for a scholarship. what would have happened if you didnt receive those 2 scholarships? and what if your parents dont have a good financial situation? why do you have to suffer for someone else’s decisions in life?
I don’t have a credit card, a new car, a smart phone, or an ipad. I had good grades, went to an in-state school and even lived at home. Then I transferred colleges to an out of state, yet state school. I lived in cockroach filled apartments and worked in a restaurant so I could eat dinner every night. My parents couldn’t help me in any other way then to co-sign my loans. My $90 Fucking Thousand dollars worth of loans. You know what this massive debt got me though? A job that isn’t minimum wage, that is full-time, with benefits. Could I have that job without the degree I received? Hell No. Am I FUCKING LUCKY? HELL YEAH because most people can’t get a shit ass minimum wage job.
You know what though? I’m still going to be in debt for 30 fucking years while I pay of this loan. I can’t contribute any money to the economy because I can’t go out to dinner, or buy a new phone. So I want a hand out. I need a hand out. Because I deserve it. Because I did what I was told to do and went to college, cause shit if college kids can’t even get jobs then how the hell will someone with a High School Diploma?
